  • MakerVR, Inc: Founder of MakerVR. Work with mentors to conduct market research and technical feasibility of the startup. 

  • MIT Sloan: Work in teams with engineers and MBA students to provide business solutions for resolving the loss of work due to automation.

  • BU Questrom: Work in teams with engineers and business students to research and present startup elevator pitches, draft up corporation acquisition documentations, and conduct business simulations to manage the resource allocation for a multi-million-dollar company.

MakerVR, Inc

CEO/Founder

Started MakerVR, Inc. Developing alternative XR (virtual and augmented reality) training platform that helps STEM researchers and students get hands-on training to better prepare for research projects and classes.

 

The goals are to 1) reduce the significant training time that supervisors/professors spend on training their researchers/students, 2) best allocate time and equipment/material resources. (Is my pt 2) clear?)

MIT Sloan: Hack Our Digital Future

Co-Lead

Co-led a team and proposed a digital training platform to “help low-skillsets low-income workers deal with loss of jobs due to digital changes (machine automation) by 2050” and won the 1st place, $2000 prize, in project presentation.

 

Project topic – “Future of work-Training and retraining of skills”.

MIT: User-Centered Design: Extreme Users and Rapid Ideation

Designer

Designed and presented a smart door-bell (IoT) product ideation process using hands-on tools, including plasticine, bio-materials, color pencils. 

 

The goals are to 1) help user understands the product development process and 2) help designers better understand users’ experience.

BU Questrom: Backbay Battery Strategic Business Simulation – Operate a Tech-Based Firm

Designer

Conducted a simulation of operating a tech-based firm over a 10-year period.

 

Obtained $1707.2M cumulative profit in this simulation by making strategic decisions on R&D funding allocation and sales based on the past year’s performance and the market need.

BU Questrom:  Toyota’s Acquisition of Momenta Proposal

Designer

Delivered a proposal and a presentation on Toyota’s acquisition of Momenta, who owns key autonomous driving tech, with a detailed analysis of the acquisition structure, competitive response, and business/industry/economic implications.

BU Questrom:  Elevator Pitch with VCs - Real Time IoT Oil Drilling Monitoring System

Designer

Conducted research on an existing startup’s patented IoT technology, interviewed its founder and delivered a 5-min mock elevator pitch to a panel of VC judges looking to raise $1.5M series A funding.

BU Questrom:  Welsh Water Company Negotiation Project

Designer

Conducted a mock negotiation with different unions' leaders(represented by students) as Welsh Water’s representative to ensure company’s profitability while providing benefits for workers and avoiding workers’ strike.
